I just read it and if you are a MINE or ZE:A´S or Jewelry fan, than you know how badly all the idols in this company get treated.
It´s beyond disgusting..
Just a few examples:
What Sera said on their documentary
For the CEO (and probably the rest of the staff) they are just dolls, that have to be perfect, beautiful in every way and if they don´t make enough money they get just kicked out or recycled.
The CEO slapping Sera openly on camera
In the documentary, you can see that she flinches and closes her eyes already when he only raises his hand which means that the idols there get hit on a regular basis and just have to cope with it.
Complete starving, especially for the female idols
Before their debut, 9Muses & Jewelry members had to go on the worst diets ever: eating completely nothing! Yewon talked about this on a show before, saying that at that time even grass seemed delicious to her because she was so hungry.
The staff and CEO just touch ALL of the idols wherever and how much they want taking dance practice or cloth fitting as an excuse…Imagine having to stand in a room practically just in your underwear and old man/women stare, point at you and touch you…I don´t even wanna think about that.
Selling their idols for money
And not the normal way because all companies do that. I mean stuff like what happened to Taeheon. Of course it is not confirmed, but I think that their CEO sold Taeheon for money to fight against that other fighter so that guy´s retiring match makes him look even more glorious, winning against an idol! Why I think that?
1) First I did not know or heard any of the ZE:A members are in to MMA. Never heard him participated in any amateur fight, much more a professional fight or did he?
2) Although his opponent was retiring, this was his job & he is well experienced in MMA fights. He is well trained…how about Tae Heon?
3) Why would he go fighting around the same time as their comeback? Their concert? Doesn´t make any sense, right?
Breaking their minds and driving them into depression
Have you ever heard of the method they use in circuses for elephants? They chain them when they are young and scare them so much that, even when they grow up and are big and strong, they don´t attempt to run away or break their chains even though they easily could now.
Same method that SE uses.
In the documentary it´s revealed that ALL 9Muses members have an unhealthy amount of stress and exhaustion buried in their bodies. So much, that even the doctor was surprised and scared for them. Leehoo of ZE:A even attempted suicide and we don´t know how many more of Jewelry, ZE:A, 9Muses or VOS did…Mental illnesses are sometimes even worse then physical injuries!
Those are only a few of the things they do to them and I hate the CEO and company for that. But what could we fans do until now? Nothing.
But now is finally our chance!
Leehoo is brave enough to do something against this corrupted system and we, the fans, every person that likes K-Pop, heck, every normal thinking person on this planet should support him!!!
Well, atleast that is what I will do. Will you?
(Sorry for the long post..I got carried away because this topic is really important to me; not only as a MINE, but also as a human being!)
so, i was offline because of college and then alyana mentioned me on twitter and now i came here to see whats happening and bammmm lee hoo is taking over star empire. i am speechless. i cant believe he is doing this. isnt lee hoo the best leader? how can you tell me is not? how come you hate on ze:a? i literally dont know how some things happen in the kpop music industry. i am very happy to see that he couldnt take it any longer. i am here for ze:a and for ze:a styles and for everyone that helps my fandom to get this shit popular so then every ceo stop making the singers and artists their slaves. music should be something that make you happy, not something you have to do because you signed a contract. since i know myself as a ze:a style ive been suffering with this fucking company, they always make everything the worst, even if its a happy day or a comeback day. you dont understand how sad we always are because of star empire. but from now and on i will support them even more, with all my heart and my mind, because it is happening. they are finally taking over. they will finally get what they deserve they will finally shine. thank you for supporting lee hoo and ze:a. please keep it going. #standbyzea
I’m actually pretty sad by the fact I haven’t seen this on my dash more than once. Everyone seems to be ignorant of the situation, or has chosen to ignore it. Yet, if it were an EXO member doing this, a kpop blogger’s dash would be exploding with news, support, and awareness. But because this is a group that is small, is not as big as other groups, and there are little translators for them, most of us don’t even know what’s going on.
ZE:A’s leader, Lee Hoo (Junyoung) is tweeting and revealing the corruptions of his company and the truth of the entertainment industry. Guys, there is actually someone, who is already in a group, finally taking a direct stand towards their shitty company. He is slowly revealing the poor treatment on his members and himself, his cruel CEO that has abused them, and their money situation. While AllKpop isn’t the best site, at least there are clear translations of his tweets here. Also here. Lee Hoo left to meet with his CEO and settle matters.
We’re all aware of the cruelty of the kpop industry. We all know of SM’s infamous treatment to their employees. ZE:A’s company is a small company. Imagine how big companies are, with more money to use to cover stories. Lee Hoo has revealed their money arrangement was 70:30. 70% for the company, 30% for them. If the group earns one million KRW, the CEO takes 700,000, and ZE:A takes 300,000. Thing is, ZE:A has nine members. They have to split the 300,000 over and over to the nine members. EXO has twelve members. Super Junior has more. Even if they make more money, they still have the split the money, give most of it to the company, and work even harder to get more. There’s a reason why Hangeng and Kris left (actually, one reason out of many).
"They signed up for this! They should suck it up!" "They make plenty of money, they’re just greedy." "There’s no proof that the company actually abuses them." I can’t tell you how much I’m frustrated by these words. Look! A k-pop member is exposing it all on his official SNS. How much more proof do you need? Lee Hoo even says that after they sign the contract, they are made aware of the money deal. He has had to lie to the public about how he broke his leg to save face for a program.
They can’t say anything. They have to swallow their words, put on a flashy act for the public, and deal with the internal systems of the k-pop industry. EXO Lay has said this isn’t what he expected. Kris left under cruel and unfair treatment. The 9muses documentary showed us angering treatment toward the girls. Finally, someone is actually taking a direct, public stand.
From his latest tweet, he has come back now, and while I’m not sure of the correct translation, it seems he is winning, perhaps got the company under ZE:A? Please just make yourself aware, get #standbyzea trending, and celebrate your idols’ birthday while rooting for ZE:A :)
a lot of people seem to misunderstand
probably because they’re not fans of ze:a
despite what people think, this didn’t happen overnight. these boys have been mistreated by their company for years
this wasn’t just, lee hoo speaking to the ceo once and suddenly getting everything he wanted. he’s experienced so much pain because of this company, because of the ceo, lee hoo has been fighting for a long-ass time for this, and he’s finally getting what he, and everyone else, deserves. ze:a has stuck together because of lee hoo. he is literally ze:a’s glue. lee hoo is literally a fucking hero and a fighter and an angel and HE MUST BE CELEBRATED TBH
